Joshua here,

Happy Eclipse Day!

The results of the question I asked yesterday are at the end of this email. Read on to see which car was chosen.

Now, let’s get into it!⚡

THE TOTAL ECLIPSE

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Spyder

~144,000 miles, manual, fwd, 4-cylinder, turbo, convertible

$10,000 / Buford, GA

Many really nice modifications have been installed including a big turbo and some Volk Racing wheels. Nice list to look through.

PURPLE S13

1990 Nissan 240SX

~106,000 miles, manual, rwd, 4-cylinder, pop-up headlights

$9,250 / San José, CA

The only description on this listing is “clean title”. There also wasn’t a great picture of it either. So, your guess is as good as mine. I like the purple.

JDM-POWERED ECLIPSE

1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

~64,000 miles, manual, awd, 4-cylinder, turbo

$9,000 / Santa Cruz, CA

During the current ownership, there was a JDM 4g63t turbo engine installed. Some other good modifications as well.

KEL-MARK MY WORDS

1979 Kelmark GT

~34,000 miles, manual, rwd, 6-cylinder

$8,500 / Cincinnati, OH

I’ve never seen one of these before. I looked it up and it is a kit car that was available to build or in prebuilt form on a Volkswagen chassis. Would definitely be a head turner.

ALL STOCK ECLIPSE

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse

~144,000 miles, manual, fwd, 4-cylinder

$5,495 / Pensacola, FL

One owner and garage kept. It’s in very good condition for being almost 30 years old. I assume it looks even better in person considering the photos are a bit blown out.

INTERMITTENT SPEEDOMETER

1986 Porsche 944

~151,000 miles, manual, rwd, 4-cylinder, pop-up headlights

$8,500 / Sanford, FL

The interior of this Porsche looks incredible. The speedometer stops working sometimes but, just like all good technology in the 80’s, tapping on it makes it work again.

THE FINAL ECLIPSE

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

~48,605 miles, manual, fwd, 4-cylinder, turbo

$3,900 / Woodbridge, VA

The body kit looks period correct for the year of the car. It also has a Garret turbo kit installed which would be a nice bump from the 147 hp it came with stock.

If you’re in the line of totality for the solar eclipse make sure you don’t miss it today!

And the car that was chosen by all of you yesterday is…

1995 BMW M3 Track Car

~210,900 miles, manual, rwd, 6-cylinder

$10,000 / Cupertino, CA

Thank you to everyone who responded yesterday. If you’re still reading, I appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to make this newsletter better and better!
